CHOP’s June 2020 Newsletter Reports CHOP is Among the BEST Children’s Hospitals as Ranked by U.S. News & World Report

Since 1992, RE/MAX agents and offices have helped Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CHOP) support millions of kids each year, mostly by participating in the Miracle Home Program and making a donation in their clients’ name after each home or property transaction. Miracle Home yard signs also serve as an indicator of the agent’s commitment to helping kids in their very own neighborhood.

Buyers and sellers should know that they can take part in making their communities better by asking their RE/MAX agent to make their home a Miracle Home, meaning participating agents will pledge to make a donation after the sale is final. RE/MAX Achievers of Collegeville and Pottstown real estate offices are proud to support Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) & be a Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) participant! Since 1992, Nationwide, RE/MAX franchises collectively have donated over $150 Million Dollars to CMN & RE/MAX Achievers has donated over $400,000!

Per CHOP’s June 2020 Newsletter: Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) has showed that — no matter what challenges we face —we rank as one of the top children’s hospitals in the United States. CHOP is ranked No. 2 on U.S. News & World Report’s 2020-21 Honor Roll of Best Children’s Hospitals, an elite recognition we’ve enjoyed every year since the list was created. When you bring your children to CHOP, you can be confident they will receive the best, and safest, care in the country.

U.S. News also evaluated programs in 10 specialty areas. We are proud that CHOP was listed among the top seven programs in each of the 10 ranked specialties for 2020-21, and six of our specialties are ranked No. 1, No. 2 or No. 3.

Several of these programs are home to trailblazing initiatives conducting visionary research that translates into clinical care breakthroughs. Those extraordinary efforts are spotlighted below.

Why the rankings matter

When creating its rankings, U.S. News relies on clinical data, supplied by the nearly 200 pediatric hospitals it surveys, and on an annual survey of nearly 11,000 pediatric specialists across the country. The ranking methodology considers patient outcomes, such as mortality, complications and infection rates; efficiency and coordination of care delivery, and compliance with “best practices.” Surgical success rates, adequacy of nurse staffing, procedure and patient volume, availability of programs for particular illnesses and conditions, and much more were components of the survey.

No other pediatric hospital in our region has ever been named to the U.S. News Honor Roll.

It is the recognition of CHOP’s excellence and expertise across the broad spectrum of services — even when we care for the most complex and sickest children — that led to our place on the Honor Roll. The quality of our care and treatments, superior nurse-patient ratios, commitment to safety, emphasis on family-centered care, and groundbreaking research means your child is in good hands at Children’s Hospital.
